The Japanese adult platform DLsite recently criticized VISA and Mastercard’s payment restrictions on adult content and announced the implementation of a futuristic payment method in Japan as an alternative. In response, Japanese citizens have stated that VISA and Mastercard should immediately halt these restrictions. In fact, these payment restrictions have given momentum to Japan’s own credit card brand, JCB, which continues to be accepted on DLsite.
